Salary: £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HGV Workshop Supervisor to lead our busy commercial vehicle maintenance workshop in Taunton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take charge of a well‑equipped facility, overseeing a team of technicians and ensuring the highest standards of service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations of the HGV workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of HGV technicians and apprentices.
  • Allocate jobs and monitor progress to meet deadlines and service targets.
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained and repaired to DVSA standards.
  • Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
  • Liaise with fleet managers, suppliers, and other departments to coordinate repairs and servicing.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out, parts used, and costs incurred.
  • Support training and development ofוצרים workshop staff.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within an HGV or commercial vehicle workshop.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HGV maintenance and repair.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
