A leading employee-owned retailer is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Southampton. This permanent, full-time role involves repairing and maintaining delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have a Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification and relevant experience. ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you'll be repairing and maintaining our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to both VOSA and Partnership standards. You’ll work with experienced technicians who will provide the tools and support you need to succeed and progress your career.
Note: If you join us from 5th October 2025, any time worked between 18:00 - 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium at £3.00 per hour, and any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract a Night Premium at £4.00 per hour. This also applies to existing Partners enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
Salary - The salary offered for this role is up to £44,200 per annum
Shift Premium - If you join on or before 4th October, in addition to the pay stated, this role will attract Shift Premium at 15% (calculated on the pay range minimum), up to £4,725 annually. If you join from 5th October 2025, the Evening/Night Premiums apply as noted above for Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
Full time role, 37.5 hours per week on a 2 week rota, with the expectation of working 1 in 4 Saturdays, at premium overtime rates.

Location - Leylands (RDC)
Ensure that the relevant sections of all inspections, services and defect sheets are completed in compliance with our ‘O’ Licence obligations, and that all spares requests and time books are completed daily. Be aware of best practice and current commercial vehicle repair techniques to ensure high quality repairs are carried out in a cost effective manner, and that spare parts and consumables reflect the level of work carried out.
Our Vehicle Workshop is growing and you’ll be working with many experienced Partners. Our current technicians will ensure you have all the tools you need to perform effectively and thrive, with opportunities to develop your knowledge and progress your career. You’ll also support the development of apprentices in the workshop. As a co-owned business, Partners work together to achieve goals and share in the success.
