Job summary

A global automotive company in Inverness is looking for a Mechanic to perform repairs and maintenance on HGVs. Ideal candidates will have a Level 3 NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and relevant experience. Qualifications

• Experience working on HGVs or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry.
• Ability to carry out repairs according to procedures.
• Prepared to assist in fault diagnosis and roadside breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs to high standards according to Volvo procedures.
• Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets.
• Assist with roadside breakdowns and ensure all vehicle defects are reported.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process
• Service Customer Vehicles and complete service sheets.
• Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
• Assist with roadside breakdowns.
• Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
• Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
• Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained
• Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices
