Job summary

A specialist fleet maintenance company is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team in Wellington. As an HGV Technician, you will perform servicing, repairs, and inspections on trucks and commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate should hold full HGV qualifications and have experience working with heavy goods vehicles. This role offers a competitive salary between £44,000 to £47,000.

Qualifications

  • Ideally hold full HGV qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds).
  • Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles.
  • Hold an HGV Class 1 or 2 licence would be beneficial.
  • Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs to trucks and commercial vehicles.
  • Conduct visual or operational checks to identify worn or maladjusted parts.
  • Carry out thorough technical inspections and report on accident-damaged machines.
  • Work on customer sites with or without workshop facilities.

Shift: Monday – Friday days (45 hrs)

HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter opportunity

Due to increased business levels our specialist fleet maintenance company is looking to add an additional HGV technician / Mechanic / Fitter to the team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections and subsequent repairs to a variety of trucks and commercial vehicles
  • Perform visual or operational checks to locate worn, dirty or maladjusted parts.
  • Carry out technical inspections
  • Will be required to undertake thorough inspections of accident damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair.
  • In this HGV technician / Mechanic / Fitter role you will be working on customer sites with or without workshop facilities being available for use
Experience / Skills / Qualifications
  • Ideally hold full HGV qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds)
  • Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles
