Night Shift HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter (Caerphilly)

Location: Caerphilly

Salary: £44,(Apply online only) - £46,(Apply online only) basic (£21 - £22 per hour)

OTE: Up to £54,(Apply online only) with overtime at time and a half

Hours: Nights, 22:00 - 06:00, full-time

Job Type: Permanent

We're looking for experienced HGV Technicians, HGV Mechanics and HGV Fitters to join a busy night shift team near Caerphilly. You'll work on diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs across a variety of heavy goods vehicles, using the latest technology. This is a great opportunity to earn OTE, gain hands‑on experience, and develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on HGVs
• Carry out routine servicing and preventive maintenance
• Use computer-aided diagnostic tools (training provided)
• Record work accurately and support shift handovers

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter
• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of HGV servicing, repairs and DVSA regulations
• Committed to health and safety and willing to train on new technologies

Desirable Skills

• IMI, City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Experience in main dealer or commercial fleet workshops
• Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
