Job description

HGV Technician required in Poole :

• Negotiable Competitive Salary Dependent on experience and skillset
• Late Shift or Split Shifts available- Week 1 : Mon-Fri 6AM till 3.30PM, Week 2 : 1PM till 10.30PM.
• Well - Established Commercial Main Dealer
• Our client, a Main Dealership in Poolearea, is looking to recruit an experienced HGV Technician.

Your key objectives as a HGV Technician will include :

• To complete all service work and defined maintenance work of the utmost quality and efficiency within manufacturers time schedules.
• Supply a professional performance in all aspects of work activities to make an essential contribution to the value and retention of customers.
• Supporting colleagues in the workshop with any technical issues and innovations.
• Ability to carry out comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions.
• To ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are adhered to at all times.
• Document the results of diagnosis / repairs / service / safety inspections.

The split shift hours for this role are Monday to Friday 6am till 3.30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch then the following week 1pm till 10.30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch. Salary range is depending on experience and skill set. Shift Allowance pay is £25.00 per day for each shift completed. Overtime is paid at 1.5 X for week days and double time from 10.00am Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Holiday entitlement is 22 days plus bank holidays.

You will need to :

• live in the Dorsetregion or be within a reasonable commuting distance of Poole
• be a fully qualified HGV Technician / Mechanic to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum and ideally hold some practical experience post qualification
• be a committed individual and a good team player
• be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team
• Applicants with an active HGV driving license would be highly advantageous however this is non-essential.
