Job Overview

Join the RAC as a SuperFlex Roadside Mechanic. You're more than a mechanic – a problem solver, people person, and proud ambassador for the RAC. You'll work in dynamic roadside situations, ranging from fault diagnostics to flat tyres or batteries, all while maintaining calm, connecting quickly, and confident in your craft.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and determine the right fix.
• Provide 24/7 roadside assistance across the UK.
• Manage your own kit, keep the van stocked, and handle reports with precision.
• Read and assess situations, making calls to support members.
• Respond to calls at short notice and travel overnight when required.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with demonstrative technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• Customer‑focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to work at short notice and open to overnight travel.

Working Hours & Schedule

Work an average of 40 hours per week across the year, receiving your roster seven days in advance with core working hours confirmed three days prior. Shifts run between 06:00 and 02:00 and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
