HGV Mechanic / Workshop Technician - Immediate Start

Location: Edmonton

Salary: £50000+ per year

Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm + Alternate Saturdays 7:00am - 12:00pm

The Role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic / Technician to join a busy workshop team. You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a varied fleet of vehicles and trailers to the highest standards.

Key duties include:
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance inspections to DVSA standards
  • Servicing and repairing vehicles/trailers across multiple manufacturers
  • Diagnosing faults with modern diagnostic tools (mechanical/electrical/hydraulic)
  • Preparing vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections
  • Handling defect repairs, parts replacement, tyres/wheel changes
  • Attending breakdowns and performing roadside or running repairs when required
  • Maintaining workshop safety, cleanliness, and compliance
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Vehicle Technician
  • Strong skills in diagnostics and repairs across all systems
  • Confident using computer-based diagnostic equipment
  • A flexible, proactive approach with attention to detail
  • Category C licence and CPC preferred (not essential)
