HGV Technician - Waltham

Day & Night Shifts Available | 4 on 4 off | Up to £51,500.00

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a new opportunity that offers not only competitive pay but also ongoing training and development? We’re searching for skilled HGV Technicians to join our IRTEC‑accredited workshops in Waltham. If you’re passionate about delivering top‑quality mechanical and electrical repairs and enjoy working as part of a team, this could be the perfect role for you.

The Role

• Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on HGVs
• Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards in line with repair orders
• Maintaining a strong “right first‑time” ethos to ensure zero rework
• Collaborating with the VMU Manager on parts, labour, and additional repairs
• Accurately recording time spent and ensuring the workshop remains clean and safe
• Playing an active role in meeting workshop objectives and targets
• Maintaining the working capacity of machines and tools

The Ideal Candidate

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification (Essential)
• Previous experience working on HGVs in a fleet or commercial environment
• Ability to confidently use workshop IT systems to deliver tasks
• Strong safety awareness and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work
• A flexible attitude with the ability to work as part of a team and on your initiative

Desirable

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• Tail lift experience

Shifts & Pay

• Night Shift (4 on, 4 off): £23.68 per hour (Approx. £51,852 per year)
• Day Shift (4 on, 4 off): £21.53 per hour (Approx. £47,144 per year)
