Overview

HGV Technician – Location: Edinburg. Salary: up to £43,000 basic per annum plus overtime and other company benefits. Hours: full time. Ref: 29017. We are looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join our client's workshop in Edinburgh, specializing in fleet vehicles, including Transits, Sprinters, and a variety of other LCVs. This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse range of vehicles, offering both challenging and rewarding experiences in a dynamic environment.

HGV Technician Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques
HGV Technician Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 equivalent or higher
