The role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods between the UK and Ireland, ensuring timely delivery and collection while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service. The position requires a professional driver with a Full HGV Class 1 licence, valid CPC card, and Digital Tachograph, capable of managing overnight stays in the cab and adhering to all road transport and company regulations.
The successful candidate will conduct daily vehicle checks, complete required documentation accurately, and ensure vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, and compliant with health and safety requirements. They will demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and problem‑solving skills while adapting to changing routes or schedules as required.
This role demands a positive attitude, strong communication, and proficiency with mobile technology and digital tools. A good geographical knowledge of the UK, along with comfort working at heights and in confined spaces, is essential.
