Job Description

We are looking for an HGV Class 2 Tramper Driver to work for one of our reputable clients situated in Burton on Trent. Your main role will be to deliver concrete blocks to construction and building sites across the UK. This will involve long distance driving, low multi drop.

This is a tramping role, starting at Burton on Trent depot on a Monday at 06 : 00 and arriving back to site Friday afternoon.

This is an ongoing role, Monday to Friday. Temp to Perm is on offer so great opportunity for long term work.

Duties

• Operate a class 2 flatbed lorry to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations. Your main role will be driving, you will not have to unload, there is no HIAB or Moffett work involved in this role.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card with no more than 6 points on licence (No TT99, DR, IN10).
• 2 years minimum experience as a HGV Class 2 Tramper Driver
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to operate flatbed truck
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo

Excellent pay rates £17.50-£18.50 per hour

Plus £25.00 per night away for night out allowance
