HGV Class 1 Driver – Solihull

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Driver roles based in Solihull, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well‑known supplier of household goods with plenty of ongoing work available.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday: Start times between 03:00 and 06:00
• Weekend availability if required

Rates of Pay

• £17.00 – £20.35 per hour

Day‑to‑Day Duties

• Operate and drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, mileage, and fuel usage
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as required

Essential Skills
