Helpdesk & Warranty Engineer

Location: Dungannon

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

A leading manufacturing business is seeking a proactive Helpdesk & Warranty Engineer to join its Projects & Aftersales team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and experience working directly with customers, dealers, or field teams.

You'll play a key role in assessing warranty claims, supporting global customers, and ensuring technical issues are resolved professionally and efficiently. The role also includes acting as the appointed person for lift plans when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process warranty claims, gather supporting information, and prepare summaries for internal teams.
  • Propose and agree claim settlements in line with policy and agreed timelines.
  • Provide technical support to customers and dealer networks via phone, email, and online portals.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, service and other internal departments.
  • Deliver occasional training on warranty systems and processes.
  • Recover costs from suppliers and coordinate returns.
  • Raise concerns to quality teams and support issue resolution.
  • Offer guidance to technical and parts helpdesks on warranty-related topics.
  • Support field issue investigations and recommend technical improvements.
  • Ensure safety, reliability and serviceability are prioritised.
  • Act as appointed person for lift plans (training provided if needed).
  • Travel may be required.
What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a technical, service, or warranty role.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work across levels.
  • Able to work independently and use initiative.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer focus.
  • Willingness to gain appointed person training (if not already qualified).
Desirable:
  • Experience with washing or processing equipment.
  • Familiarity with warranty portals or Microsoft Access.
  • Administration experience.
