A leading healthcare service provider in Inverness is seeking a Paediatric Healthcare Support Worker to join the expanding Complex Care Team. This role involves helping children and families during various activities while providing direct healthcare support. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children, a driving licence, and be willing to work flexible shifts in a 24/7 service environment. Permanent – Salary scale: £28,011 – £30,230 pro rata per annum
The Paediatric Complex Care team is expanding due to an increase in children being referred to the service. The Complex Care Team supports children and their families across NHS Highland in the home environment and wider community. This post is a very rewarding opportunity to enable children/families to access education, allow parents to have a restful sleep knowing their child is cared for to a high standard.
Training and support will be provided to achieve various tasks and skills with assessed competency. Training takes approximately 8 weeks. Following training and assessment, the post holder will lone work with the child/family with direct responsibility for the child’s healthcare needs.
The post holder is expected to work a variety of day, evening, weekend and night shifts. Travel is an essential part of the role; travel expenses will be reimbursed and accommodation will be provided for stays.
