A healthcare organization in Birmingham is seeking a health care assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a practice nursing team. The role includes carrying out vital signs checks, collecting blood samples, and ensuring patient confidentiality. Candidates should be able to work varying shifts and possess good organizational skills. Competitive weekly pay between £800 to £1600 is offered, along with benefits such as a pension scheme and medical cover.
The post holder must work as part of a team, have the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload on a day to day basis, and observe strict rules about confidentiality at all times. They must also know the limits of their own capabilities and seek direction from a Practice nurse, GP, or Practice Manager.
Working under the supervision of practice nursing team and strictly in accordance with specific practice or national guidelines and protocols, the health care assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Monday to Friday, Saturday to Sunday and lots of overtime.
