What you will be doing:

  • Join an inclusive and supportive team that provides care to people with a range of mental health conditions, applying knowledge and skills to support recovery and a valued life.
  • Engage in ward rounds, analyse behaviours, adapt care with colleagues, update patient records and provide overall care and support.
  • Assist with personal hygiene as required.
  • Work in a challenging environment with a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance.

The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day.

Location

Location: Thornford Park, Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 8ET.

Thornford Park is a 130-bed independent hospital supporting service users requiring medium and low secure Forensic Mental Health Services, including a PICU Mental Health Service. The service provides a seamless internal care pathway and works with the multidisciplinary team to provide personalized assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/complex care needs, personality disorder, and females and males in a PICU service.
