A local educational institution is seeking a part-time Healthcare Assistant to provide one-to-one support to students with complex medical needs. This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of students while helping with their learning. Candidates should have experience in healthcare or similar roles and excellent communication skills. Full training will be provided for specific needs such as tracheostomy and diabetes management. PERMANENT PART TIME, TERM TIME ROLES £14.25 per hour. 32.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm – Actual salary £21,037 gross p.a. 13 hours per week: Monday and Thursday 8.30am to 3.30pm – Actual salary £8,415 gross p.a.
Join our friendly staff team as a dedicated Healthcare Assistant providing one-to-one support during the school day for key students with complex medical needs. Working alongside an experienced healthcare and therapy team, you will ensure students’ safety, wellbeing and full access to learning while developing specialist clinical skills through comprehensive training.

This is an opportunity for someone who has experience in a healthcare, SEND or care-based role (school or clinical setting) and who is confident, calm and able to respond appropriately in medical situations. Full training will be provided. You will be committed to supporting children and young people with complex medical and additional needs, have excellent communication and teamwork skills and be willing to undertake all required training, including tracheostomy and diabetes management.
