Job Summary

We have various hours for Band 3 Health Care Assistants within our Ophthalmic Team which includes Ophthalmic Outpatients / A&E and Pre-op Assessment Service. We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, flexible and reliable individuals who can use initiative. This demanding role requires experience of working in a hospital setting as a band 2 in care and the ability to handle a fast‑paced patient flow.

Main duties of the job

Health Care Assistants play a vital role by assisting with patient flow and providing ophthalmic assessments while maintaining patient safety. They carry out investigative and diagnostic procedures, chaperone patients during consultations and maintain a safe environment.
