A regional mental health provider is looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join the mental health inreach team at HMP Manchester. The role involves assessing physiological observations, promoting healthy lifestyles, and assisting service users with both mental and physical health issues. Candidates must have a Level 3 NVQ and experience in mental health and prison settings. An additional recruitment and retention premia of £1,542 per annum is offered, along with attractive benefits including enhanced pay for evenings and weekends.
You must have been in the UK for 12 months prior to applying for this post and be able to provide a 6 year address history to be able to complete the prison clearance.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior support worker to join a vibrant mental health inreach team within Health and Justice based at HMP Manchester. The post holder will work within the MHIT and will be an integral part of the wider clinical MDT.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an established service within the Health & Justice directorate of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. You will be supported with the security checking procedure (Counter Terrorism Clearance) to enable you to work in a High Secure Environment. It is essential that throughout your employment that you are compliant at all times with the necessary renewal checks every 5 years.
The post holder will assess physiological observations, including blood monitoring and ECG's, and promote healthy lifestyles for our service users. The post holder will assist in enabling service users to access the support they need to recover from their mental health and physical health problems, whilst in a custodial setting. They will also assist care co‑coordinators in working across boundaries of care to plan, implement and evaluate care within care pathways as part of the stepped care model.
