A healthcare provider in Sunderland is seeking a motivated healthcare assistant to support the GPs and nursing team in patient care management. This role involves undertaking physical health checks and delivering routine phlebotomy clinics. The position is temporary, approximately 18.5 hours per week over 3 days, and may lead to a permanent position. Candidates should hold NVQ Level 2 and be qualified in phlebotomy, showcasing teamwork and care for patients.
To assist the GPs and practice nursing team in the service and delivery of the care management of the practice population. The post holder will work under the indirect supervision of the nursing team. They will work collaboratively with the team to meet the needs of the patients, following policies and procedures while providing supervision to more junior staff.
Undertake, record and follow guidelines for the tasks in which you have received appropriate training.
Undertake physical health checks, measuring and recording:- Blood Pressure, pulse rate and rhythm, height, weight, BMI, ECG.
Delivering routine phelbotomy clinics.
Deerness Park is a split site surgery. We look after a patient population of 13500. We are a big team comprising of GPs, ANPs, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants all supported by a wider administrative team. We are a training practice and pride ourselves on the internal progression of our team.
We are looking for a motivated healthcare assistant to join our team, on a temporary basis, which is likely to lead to a permanent solution. We are recruiting for 18.5 hours per week, across 3 days.
