Healthcare Assistant Lung Cancer Screening Programme

Location: South West Covering sites in Devon. Flexibility in travelling to different areas in SW is essential.

Travel: Full UK Driving Licence Required

Shifts: 12‑hour patterns, 3 days a week (8am–8pm), including weekends and bank holidays

As a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), you'll play a key role in delivering a professional, compassionate, and patient‑focused experience across our mobile screening sites in the South West.

Main duties of the job

What you'll do:

  • Welcome patients and guide them through their screening journey with empathy and professionalism
  • Support clinical colleagues in delivering high‑quality care in a fast‑paced, mobile environment
  • Assist with patient handovers between screening and CT scan locations
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure data confidentiality
  • Help manage clinic flow, support scheduling, and respond to patient queries
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection control
  • Contribute to a 7‑day service, including bank holidays, with occasional remote admin work
