We Are Care is seeking caring and reliable Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join a dedicated team supporting elderly individuals with dementia in a specialist nursing and dementia care setting.

This opportunity involves working within a well-established residential environment where empathy, consistency, and attentiveness are key. You will support residents with a mix of personal care, mobility, mealtime assistance, and companionship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to residents’ needs.
  • Assist with personal hygiene, continence care, and dressing.
  • Support during mealtimes including feeding assistance.
  • Monitor and record observations accurately.
  • Promote dignity, respect, and emotional reassurance.
  • Engage residents in light activities or therapeutic routines.
  • Escalate safeguarding or medical concerns as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • At least 6 months’ experience in a care or support setting.
  • Confidence in supporting individuals with dementia and elderly care needs.
  • Mandatory care training completed within the last 12 months.
  • Enhanced DBS check (on‑update service preferred).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to care excellence.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available.
