Job description

The Health & Wellbeing Coordinator role at Claydon House, a 49-bedded Residential, Dementia and Nursing Home in Lewes, is a part-time position offering 20 hours per week. The role involves planning and delivering activities and ideas that enhance the well-being and quality of life for the residents, ensuring they make the most of every day.

Main duties of the job

As the Health & Wellbeing Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a diverse range of activities and programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of the residents. This may include organizing social events, coordinating group activities, and providing individual support to help residents maintain their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. You will work closely with the care team to understand the unique needs and preferences of each resident, and tailor the activities accordingly. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for the elderly.

Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in health and wellbeing, with experience in delivering engaging and meaningful activities for older adults. A qualification in a relevant field, such as health and social care, occupational therapy, or leisure and recreation, would be highly desirable.
