The post holder will be a qualified Health Visitor. You will work autonomously as part of the Integrated Early Years Service (Health Visiting & Family Support) managing a designated caseload of children and families, in order to improve their health and enable them to reach their full potential.
You will work collaboratively with other agencies to provide high quality care to children and families. Child protection work will involve gathering and analysing information to make informed assessments, appropriate referrals and participating and contributing at case conferences and core group meetings.
You will support public health initiatives in line with local and national priorities which promote, protect and improve the health of the population and reduce health inequalities.
Our Health Visiting service in Camden is part of a well-developed partnership with the London Borough of Camden Early Year’s Service and we are presently implementing a new universal pathway for all families in the first 1001 days. Camden is one of the early implementers of Family Hubs, which brings additional funding for services for families in the first 1001 days (conception to 2 yrs) and encourages services for families with children of all ages to be brought together as part of a Family Hub network.
