Job description

The post holder will lead in the development, co-ordination and delivery of high quality public health services across the Belfast Trust and include the implementation of an enhanced health visiting service as part of Multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) in the relevant GP Federations. Have continuing overall responsibility for the professional and operational management of Public Health Services reporting to the Children’s Service Manager (CSM). The post holder will contribute to the directorate’s workforce planning, governance, quality improvement, financial and performance management processes and will have responsibility for the effective implementation of these processes across all community Public Health Services.Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and operation of an efficient and effective service planning and performance systems which support the achievement of service and Trust objectives including relevant MDT area.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the Health Visiting service and other stakeholders in relation to planning, performance, service improvement and quality assurance activities.
  • Lead and develop business cases in conjunction with the relevant project lead as required in relation to HV service priorities.
  • Support and lead the implementation of service developments across the HV service.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Live on the NMC Register on Parts 1 or 2 and Part 3.
  • Hold a university degree of relevant professional qualification at graduate or diploma level, and have 2 years’ experience in a senior management role in a large organisation.
  • OR Have at least 5 years’ experience in a senior management role in a large organisation.
  • Current driving licence and access to a car. Where disability prohibits driving, this criteria will be waived if the applicant is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements.
