What You're Looking For

About the Role:

We're looking for a proactive and growth-orientated HSE professional to join us as our Health, Safety & Environment Manager. This is a pivotal role at an exciting time of review and transformation across our operations. You'll be instrumental in helping shape and implement new HSE strategies, policies, and systems that truly embed a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the business.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead the development and implementation of a refreshed HSE strategy and improvement plan.
  • Drive engagement with employees and senior stakeholders to build a strong safety-first culture.
  • Review and modernise existing HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with legislative and ISO standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations-ensuring effective root cause analysis and follow-through.
  • Coordinate training and upskilling to empower teams with best practices in HSE.
  • Lead initiatives to proactively manage environmental risks and responsibilities.
  • Act as the key contact for HSE matters, providing expert advice and support to all levels of the business.
What We're Looking For
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum); working towards or willing to gain NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 5 qualification).
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and practical implementation experience.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence and support stakeholders at all levels.
  • A growth mindset—someone who relishes a challenge and sees opportunity in change.
  • Previous experience within an FMCG, logistics, warehousing or multi-site environment is beneficial.
  • Confidence to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Experience with ISO management systems and internal/external audits.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
