Overview

A leading UK & multinational Retailer and Household Name Business, are seeking 2x new Health & Safety Advisors, as part of a brand new investment in Health & Safety programmes across both their HQ and wider retail estate, working in a newly formed team.

These roles will be based from the business's HQ in Warrington, Cheshire, with occasional travel to their retail sites, as dictated autonomously by the post holder (with full expenses for any travel). The business has recently undergone significant transformation and change, with tens of millions invested in a new Digital platform, new HQ building, and Digital services & operations within the retail business. There is a continued growth trajectory, including further investment in the Health & Safety team, training and tooling.

These roles will focus on supporting both key internal stakeholders within HQ and their retail estates, offering advice, support and improving H&S awareness, compliance, training, safety management and reporting with full business buy-in, helping shape the definition & creation of H&S policy and documentation, rather than solely auditing and reporting.

These roles are full-time on site, five days a week, Monday to Friday in Warrington, with a 40-hour week and flexible start and finish times including a lunch break.

Responsibilities

• Support HQ and retail estate stakeholders with health & safety advice, compliance, training, safety management and reporting.
• help influence the definition and creation of H&S policy and documentation.
• Promote and raise H&S awareness across the business and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide on-site presence and guidance to ensure practical application of H&S standards across sites.

Essential Requirements

• Recognised commercial background/proven career history/experience as a Health and Safety Advisor, Officer, or Executive.
• NEBOSH General Certificate essential.
• IOSH membership desirable.
• Clean UK driving licence and access to own transport.
• Live within commutable distance of Warrington, Cheshire and be able and willing to work on site 5 days a week (Mon-Fri).
