Job summary

A major healthcare provider in Scotland seeks an Administrative and Clerical Support professional to assist clinical and non-clinical staff in service operations. Candidates should possess knowledge of personal care, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work in busy environments. A commitment to ongoing development is valued. Various hours available within NHS National Services Scotland, with roles based primarily at University Hospital Wishaw.

The Role

To provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non‑clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service.

What we’ll need you to bring
  • Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer experience or work experience in a health, education, social care environment
  • Undertake on the job training and induction
  • Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Worker Standards
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multi disciplinary team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology
It would be great if you also have
  • SVQ II in health care or working towards, or equivalent experience working in a caring environment/role.
  • Further education/evidence of CPD in area of work including study days and courses.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal development, as identified personally or due to the demands of the services.

Location

This role will be based in Ward 21, Ward 22 & DAU within University Hospital Wishaw.
