Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

Job Purpose

We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our field-based team at Elite Care and Comfort (ECC). You will be delivering essential care to clients in their homes across the CA18 to CA28 area, ensuring their well-being, safety, and comfort. This role involves providing personal care, medication assistance, and companionship, helping our clients maintain their independence while improving their quality of life.

Client’s homes within the CA18 to CA28.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • No previous experience is necessary—full training will be provided.
  • Genuine passion for helping others and making a positive difference in their lives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own car for business use.
Responsibilities
  1. Personal Care Assistance
    • Support clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
    • Assist with mobility and help clients move safely around their homes.
  2. Medication Support
    • Ensure clients take their prescribed medications according to care plans.
  3. Meal Preparation and Feeding
    • Assist with preparing meals according to clients’ dietary requirements.
    • Provide feeding assistance as needed.
  4. Companionship and Emotional Support
    • Provide companionship to clients, helping reduce loneliness and providing emotional support.
    • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well‑being.
  5. Health Monitoring
    • Observe and monitor clients’ health conditions, documenting care activities in the Roundsy system.
    • Report any changes in health to the team leader for further action.
  6. Light Domestic Duties
    • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and ensuring the home remains safe and tidy.
  7. Compliance and Safeguarding
    • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all ECC care procedures and safeguarding policies.
    • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
