Health Care Assitant – Abingdon | £14 to £14.55 per hour | Full time (37.5 hours) | Free On-Site Parking

A well-established and supportive GP surgery inAbingdon is seeking an experiencedHCAto join their dedicated clinical team. This is apermanent positionworking full time.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll be working autonomously within the nursing team, with responsibility for delivering high-quality care including:

  • Carry out blood pressure monitoring and pulse checks
  • Record height, weight, BMI, and other basic observations
  • Undertake ECGs and urine testing
  • Carry out NHS Health Checks and support chronic disease management reviews
  • Administer specific vaccinations and B12 injections (following appropriate training and protocols)
  • Support wound care and dressings
  • Accurately record information and observations in the patient record using appropriate clinical systems
Who We’re Looking For:
  • A qualified and experiencedHCA with GP experience
  • Confident in the above clinical areas
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
  • Someone who is proactive, reliable, and a true team player
