A community school in the East Midlands is seeking Health and Welfare Support Assistants to support pupils' health and welfare needs. You'll administer enteral feeding and medication, assist with personal care, support physical therapy activities, and collaborate with teachers and health professionals in a caring environment. We are seeking to appoint Health and Welfare Support Assistants (HWSA) with the capacity to support the health and welfare needs of all pupils at Ivy House School.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide a range of support across the school, predominantly administering enteral feeding and medication, but also supporting personal, intimate care, physical therapies and classroom support.
Working hours: 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year plus 5 days Inset.
Contract type: Fixed term until July 2026, with the potential for extension.
Salary: £24,796 – £25,186 per annum.
