A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing firm is seeking an HSE Manager to oversee Health and Safety across multiple sites in the UK. This role will require hands-on involvement in all HSE aspects, particularly regarding radiation safety. Ideal candidates will have experience in a manufacturing environment and demonstrate the ability to travel regularly across sites. A car or allowance is provided for travel.

Overview

HSE Manager – a unique, multi-site opportunity within an expanding pharmaceutical manufacturing business. The role involves balancing oversight with hands-on responsibility across all Health and Safety aspects, with a specific focus on radiation and/or radioactivity, to maintain and strengthen compliance and safety across sites.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Health, Safety and Environment across multiple sites with hands-on involvement in all HSE aspects.
  • Develop and implement consistent procedures, supporting local site challenges and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Create new documentation and processes to support the expansion of facilities.
  • Travel within the UK to spend time at each site approximately once per month; a car or car allowance is provided.
  • In the first 6 months, be on-site for 3 days at one of the South-East facilities in Surrey to support immediate challenges.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience in radiation and/or radioactivity within a manufacturing/pharma environment.
  • Ability to create consistency in procedures and support across multiple sites.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK; remote-based role with periodic on-site requirements.
