Job summary

A national consultancy firm is seeking an enthusiastic Health and Safety Consultant/Fire Risk Assessor to join their team. The role involves conducting Health & Safety audits, carrying out Fire Risk Assessments, and assisting clients with risk assessments. Ideal candidates will have relevant NEBOSH certifications and a strong background in H&S consultancy. This position requires travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

Lighthouse Risk Services LLP is a national firm specializing in Health & Safety and Employment Law consultancy, with offices in Leeds. We offer a positive approach to complex areas of Health and Safety and Employment Law. Our services include Fire Risk Assessments, Asbestos Surveys, CDM, and Health & Safety Training.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Health and Safety Consultant/Fire Risk Assessor to support our growing business.

Your main duties will include:

  1. Conducting Health & Safety audits and reviews of safe working practices
  2. Carrying out Fire Risk Assessments across various properties
  3. Performing independent contract site inspections
  4. Assisting with risk assessments and method statements
  5. Preparing policy documentation
  6. Conducting safety training courses
  7. Providing support and advice to clients
  8. Assisting with SSIP accreditation applications and tender documentation
  9. Undertaking specialist surveys and assessments (qualification dependent)

The ideal candidate will have at least the NEBOSH General/Fire Certificate or equivalent. Membership of IOSH or IFE is advantageous, as is a P402 asbestos surveying qualification. Previous experience in H&S consultancy and fire risk assessment in a customer-facing environment is preferred.

This role is primarily home-based, with travel across the UK to service clients. Overnight stays may occasionally be required.

A full driving license is essential due to travel requirements.
