Health & Safety Consultant - Northampton Region

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Expenses + Pension + 31 Days Holiday

Francesca's Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced and dynamic Health & Safety Consultant to join a respected organisation in a permanent role. This position is based in the Birmingham region, covering the southern region, and requires extensive travel with occasional overnight stays.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional with strong technical expertise, particularly in fire safety and fire risk assessments, who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health & safety audits across the southern region
  • Lead on fire safety compliance, including detailed fire risk assessments
  • Provide expert guidance on health & safety policies, procedures, and best practice
  • Support management teams to maintain exceptional safety and compliance standards
  • Deliver training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions as required
  • Travel extensively to client sites, with occasional overnight stays
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' UK Health & Safety experience — essential
  • Proven background as a Health & Safety Consultant or similar role
  • NEBOSH qualification — essential
  • Recognised fire safety qualification with strong fire risk assessment experience
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High levels of energy, resilience, and flexibility to manage a busy audit schedule
