Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development & Implementation : Create, review, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Risk Assessments & Audits : Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Training & Awareness : Deliver engaging health and safety training sessions to staff and management, fostering a culture of safety awareness.
  • Incident Investigation : Investigate workplace accidents and near‑mises, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures.
  • Compliance Monitoring : Monitor adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Toolbox Talks & Awareness Campaigns : Create and deliver materials to promote understanding and discussion on key safety topics.
  • Data Collection & Statistical Analysis : Record and analyse data relating to incidents, near misses, audits, training, and safety performance. Use data to identify trends and recurring issues.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a health and safety advisory role, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Knowledge : In‑depth understanding of UK health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Skills : Strong communication, training, and report‑writing abilities.
  • Car & Driving Licence : Essential as travel will be required.
