Hours: 37.5 | 9.00am - 5.30pm - Hybrid working available depending on role responsibilities with 2 days working from home and 3 days in our stylish, modern and collaborative office close to East Croydon Station.

Here’s the exciting bit… A day includes:
  • Interacting with a variety of stakeholders: Chief Commercial Officer, Trading Director, Trading Team, eCommerce, Marketing, Supply Chain
  • Stakeholders from outside the BU: Key suppliers and potential new partners
  • Building a strong strategic plan for categories consistent with business direction and goals, driving sales, total profitability, customer satisfaction and market share both in store and online
  • Working with the buying team to measure and report on performance against budget and optimizing plans to grow sales
  • Working to drive GOBE through our own buying team as well as working closely with OB on developing our Power Brands to drive our growth
  • Work in Partnership with marketing to ensure brand plans are executed to full potential
  • Lead and assist the team in supplier negotiations and putting plans in place to deliver collective objectives
  • Build cohesive and consistent merchandising plans aligned with the other category Heads of Trading to deliver quality of stock, commerciality, and better ranging

  • You have mastered the art of influencing that will engage potential new partners and enhance the priority of Superdrug with existing partnerships
  • You understand that the business plan can only be achieved through having the right people in place, making development and coaching a high priority for you
  • You are curious on how your customer behaviours shapes the market.
What you need to succeed
  • An understanding of current economic situations impacts of potential threats and competitors.
  • Sound in depth knowledge of the market, brand positioning and trends.
  • You have a wealth of experience from a strong career in retail buying
