About Our Client

Our client is a well established manufacturing company based in Lancashire who are now recruiting a Head of Supply Chain as part of their continued journey of culture change modernisation and improvement.

Job Description

The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, embed digital innovation, and ensure the supply chain is efficient, sustainable, and aligned with strategic objectives. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, optimise processes, and leverage emerging technologies to enhance performance, and improve customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and deliver a comprehensive supply chain strategy supporting growth, profitability, and sustainability.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the supply chain lifecycle, covering raw material supply across MRP and just in time processes, balancing labour resource with finished goods planning, to optimise demand smoothing and mitigate the impact of seasonality.
  • Digital Transformation: Implement advanced analytics, AI-driven planning tools, and intelligence platforms to improve forecasting, demand planning, and risk management.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build collaborative partnerships with key suppliers to ensure reliability, innovation, and value creation.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Lead the Quality and CI functions, embedding a culture of excellence and problem-solving.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Inspire and develop a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Training & Capability Building: Oversee training programmes to enhance operational and technical capabilities.

We are recruiting a Head of Supply Chain with a proven track record of transforming culture and process using lean principles. This pivotal leadership role will oversee the supply chain operation, encompassing planning, warehousing, quality, training, and continuous improvement.

  • Proven track record of transforming culture and process using lean principles within a supply chain function.
  • Supply chain leadership experience, ideally within manufacturing, consumer goods, or high volume production.
  • Proven track record managing supply chains exceeding £50m+ in value.
  • Expertise in digital transformation, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and quality systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Experience of leading cross-functional transformation and cultural change.
  • You must also be able to display knowledge and exposure.
