Are you a passionate and ambitious Head of Sociology ready to lead and grow a high‑impact subject in an excellent secondary school? We are seeking a qualified teacher with QTS and a strong subject specialism in Sociology to lead our successful and well‑regarded department at a thriving secondary school in Ilford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or current subject lead to shape curriculum, inspire young minds, and make a meaningful contribution to whole‑school life.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop Sociology across KS4 and KS5, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
  • Design and deliver a rigorous, engaging curriculum that promotes critical thinking and academic excellence
  • Drive strong outcomes through effective assessment, intervention, and enrichment
  • Support and develop colleagues through coaching, collaboration, and shared best practice

Qualifications
