Job Purpose

The Head of Product is responsible for leading IMS's product strategy, vision, and innovation, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. This role focuses on defining product direction, managing product lifecycle development, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver world-class telematics, mobility, and insurance technology solutions.

The Head of Product will oversee a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, ensuring a customer-focused approach to product development and innovation. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands‑on product expertise to shape IMS's next-generation solutions and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
  • Define and communicate IMS's product vision, strategy, and long-term direction, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and business teams to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs
  • Lead strategic product decisions based on customer insights, business impact, and market trends
  • Drive product innovation and maintain competitive positioning in the market
  • Set product prioritization frameworks and criteria to guide resource allocation decisions
Product Development & Requirements
  • Define comprehensive product requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria
  • Establish product quality standards and ensure adherence across all development activities
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions
  • Own product backlog prioritization and feature definition based on strategic value and business impact
  • Define priority order for all product initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and customer needs
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Go-to-Market
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure smooth product launches and market adoption
  • Define and manage go-to-market strategies, ensuring product positioning and messaging resonate with target audiences
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating requirements into actionable development plans
  • Support sales enablement and customer engagement activities
Customer & Market Insights
  • Engage directly with customers, industry leaders, and partners to gather insights and validate product decisions
  • Stay informed about competitive landscape, industry trends, and emerging technologies to drive innovation
  • Define customer personas, use cases, and user journeys, ensuring products address real customer pain points
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and mentor the Product Team, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and growth
  • Set clear goals and expectations, ensuring the team delivers against business and customer needs
  • Encourage continuous learning and innovation, keeping the team up to date with industry best practices
  • Develop product management capabilities and processes across the organization
Product Performance & Analytics
  • Establish KPIs and success metrics to measure product impact, adoption, and performance
  • Continuously evaluate and refine product strategies based on customer feedback, market performance, and business priorities
  • Analyse product usage data and customer feedback to drive product improvements
  • Monitor product lifecycle performance and make data‑driven optimisation decisions
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of defining and executing product strategies in SaaS, telematics, mobility, or insurance technology
  • Strong experience in managing cross‑functional teams and delivering successful B2B/B2B2C software products
  • Expertise in product requirement definition, user story creation, and product specification development
  • Strong analytical and data‑driven mindset, with experience using KPIs, customer insights, and market analysis to inform decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to C‑suite executives
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience working in a global product organisation with multiple product lines
  • Knowledge of AI, IoT, and connected vehicle technologies
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
  • Background in growth‑focused product management, driving adoption and monetisation strategies

  • Hybrid role, requiring in‑office presence for key meetings, product launches, and strategy sessions
