This role is core to our strategy, aimed at developing and delivering customer‑focused communications consistent with the Boots brand purpose, that drive growth and brand health.

This is a leadership role for someone ready to build, grow and deliver real change. As a key member of the Business Unit leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the Marketing plan for your area, in support of the Beauty strategy. On top of this, the role also plays a key leadership position in the Marketing function, driving best practice and new ideas across the total function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the planning and delivery of all communications to customers to support the relevant category, including the delivery of fully integrated marketing communication plans.
  • Ensure the needs of all key stakeholders are aligned and met, aligning to the category vision, and leading cross‑functional teams across Business Units, Loyalty, In‑store, Digital, Social PR and Content.
  • Guide and oversee creative development across all channels, ensuring alignment to commercial requirements as well as brand purpose.
  • Own and lead the customer proposition experience from strategic development to execution, translating it with the squad team and key stakeholders into a communication/campaign calendar – lead live trading periods, responding to marketing conditions to maximise results and KPI performance.
  • Stay ahead of the market by conducting market analysis to understand competitors and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with external agency partners to deliver results.
  • Work closely with suppliers to develop innovative marketing ideas that excite customers and grow the market.
  • Lead the thinking on the customer marketing plan, delivered against our customer strategy and brand ambition.
  • Lead a team of talented marketers – inspiring and guiding them to achieve success.
What You'll Need
  • Relevant marketing experience in developing, leading and delivering large campaigns.
  • Ability to demonstrate support for the development of relevant category/seasonal strategies, providing customer, market and marketing insights.
  • Experience of working with, and ideally leading, cross‑functional teams to design and deliver compelling marketing campaigns and communications.
  • Experience of development and production of integrated communications in partnership with media and loyalty teams.
  • Understanding of budget management up to significant spend levels.
  • Examples of team and agency leadership, inspiring people to deliver best‑in‑class marketing by improving knowledge, skill and behaviours.
