Job Location: Hybrid – Newcastle based with the ability to travel to other UK offices including our Sheffield head office (expenses paid for non-local journeys)

To support our next stage of growth, we are seeking a dynamic Head of Marketing to lead our marketing function, reporting to the Director of Marketing.
This role is the operational engine of the marketing function and key to translating strategic vision into actionable plans, ensuring the marketing team delivers high-impact campaigns, while maintaining operational excellence. Reporting into the Marketing Director, The Head of Marketing will combine leadership with hands‑on delivery, managing priorities across a small team and driving innovation to achieve ambitious growth objectives.
This is a hands‑on role, suited to a senior marketer who enjoys building campaigns, managing the detail and driving execution.

This is a full‑time, permanent role with hybrid working, based at our Newcastle Head Office, with travel to other UK offices as required, including meeting twice per month with the team at our Sheffield Office and other locations.
This role focuses on the execution and delivery of marketing activity, working closely with the Director of Marketing to bring agreed strategies to life throughout the group. If you are happiest when you’re close to campaigns, teams, and timeline, this will be a strong fit.
Job Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities
- Work closely with the Director of Marketing, acting as an operational right hand to own execution, anticipate issues and resolve delivery challenges.
- Align activity with revenue targets and growth objectives, across multiple brands.
- Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency of tone, messaging, and visual identity across all channels.
- Ownership of the day-to-day marketing function, prioritising and re-prioritising and balancing long-term projects with urgent tactical needs. Translate high level priorities into weekly and monthly delivery plans.
- Ability to review existing processes and procedures, to identify and implement improvements
- Ensuring plans agreed with the Director of Marketing are delivered to brief, to deadline and to performance targets. Weekly performance and progress reviews.
- Oversee, support and delivery integrated campaigns across digital, social, content, events, and PR channels.
- Ensure marketing activity is data-driven, reporting on KPIs and ROI to inform decision-making.
- Line‑manage and mentor marketing team members, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
- Manage team capacity and prioritisation to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
- Work closely alongside the Head of Creative and team.
- Champion new technologies and approaches, including AI‑driven tools and marketing automation, to enhance efficiency and creativity.
- Work closely with colleagues across sales, product development, and other teams to ensure marketing supports lead generation and conversion.
- Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and monitoring return on investment.
- Embodies the Edwin brands and sub‑brands, acting as a visible brand ambassador online and offline.
- Able to have an eye across operations, while retaining strong attention to detail.
- Able to both support and constructively challenge in a professional manner.
- Act as an ambassador for the Group’s ESG Strategy ensuring both you and those whom you manage share a commitment to adopt, promote and comply with ESG policies, developments, and initiatives.
Person Specification
- Degree in Marketing or related field (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role, responsible for delivering campaign execution within a team.
- Desire to identify and implement continuous improvement in team and processes.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating small teams.
- Strong bias toward delivery.
- Able to balance strategic and operational priorities, with both a high level overview and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated success in implementing marketing strategies that drive measurable business growth.
- Hands‑on experience delivering integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
- Commercial mindset with ability to link marketing activity to business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and to shape, influence and motivate.
- Proficiency in marketing analytics and tools (GA/Looker Studio, HubSpot, Salesforce, Monday.com or similar) and comfort with adopting and driving new technologies.
- Creative flair and ability to bring innovative ideas to life.
- Knowledge of AI tools, marketing automation, and data‑driven decision‑making.(desirable)
