A prominent cultural organization in Manchester is seeking a Head of Marketing to lead and manage the Marketing and Communications team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audience development and experience in delivering impactful campaigns. Key responsibilities include collaborating across departments, managing budgets, and ensuring high digital engagement. This role requires a minimum of 5 years in marketing within a similar environment.
The Head of Marketing will lead and manage the Marketing and Communications team to create and deliver outstanding campaigns across all areas of the organisation. They will collaborate with the Director of Audiences & Visitor Experience to integrate sales data across departments, ensuring campaign strategies are aligned, deadlines are met, and targets are achieved.
The role will work closely with the Box Office Manager and CRM & Audience Data Manager to utilise data insights in campaign decision-making. They will regularly assess the performance of all campaigns and recommend adjustments based on key insights, and will drive forward RET's digital engagement ensuring high levels across all digital platforms. The role will also manage relationships with appointed agencies and contractors, collaborate with other departments to deliver campaigns that support the Engagement team, manage the marketing and press budgets, and oversee the successful delivery of press nights.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years proven experience in developing and executing marketing and promotional strategies in a similar environment, demonstrable experience in audience development and managing high-impact campaigns. They will have a background in PR and experience in managing and developing relationships with local and national media. The successful candidate will have expertise in copywriting, design, print, digital media, and other communication channels, including radio, outdoor advertising, and direct mail. They will have proven financial management skills, with the ability to set and manage campaign budgets effectively. They will have a strong knowledge of audience engagement strategies, with a focus on building brand loyalty, increasing audience reach, and an understanding of the balance between commercial sales and artistic/community engagement.
