Overview

HR Manager – With a strong reputation for customer service and technical excellence, the company is now part of EDF Energy Customers Zero Carbon Home division, supporting the UK’s transition to an electrified Britain. The Opportunity: The HR Manager is a critical, currently standalone role responsible for owning and executing all facets of the human resources function for the organization. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC), where you will be the single point of accountability for both daily HR Operations and the strategic development of scalable HR infrastructure and policy. A key focus will be on implementing and optimising HRIS systems to automate processes, as well as providing expert employee relations guidance and ensuring full legal compliance. You will thrive on autonomy, be highly self-sufficient, and possess the versatility to shift rapidly between strategic planning and hands-on administrative tasks.

What you’ll do
  • End-to-End HR Ownership: Manage the entire employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration and offboarding
  • HR Department Infrastructure and Scalability: Design and document all foundational HR processes, manage vendor relationships (e.g. benefits providers, payroll providers) and prepare the function for future scale
  • Policy Development and Legal Compliance: Research, develop and implement HR policies ensuring legal compliance
