Head of Group Travel – DMC

Salary: from £50,000 per annum depending on experience

  • To provide direct day-to-day management of the travel operations team within the Groups department
  • To provide training, support and guidance to the team where needed
  • To set and monitor KPI’s for the operations team and adjust accordingly
  • To manage and deal with escalated enquiries from clients in a timely manner
  • To monitor and give feedback on areas of improvement/areas of success within the team
  • To be aware of cultural differences within a team and react sensitively
  • To be aware of important changes in the travel market and communicate course of action to the team
  • To report to the Directors of the company
Candidate’s Profile
  • Experience in a sales role within a Destination Management Company – Essential
  • Experience in People Management/Team Leadership – Essential
  • Excellent communication skills with knowledge of cultural differences
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to lead a team effectively and make decisions appropriately
