Job summary

A national Children's Charity based in London is seeking a Head of Fundraising. This role involves leading the Fundraising team, managing relationships with stakeholders, and securing new opportunities for income generation to build on a £2.5m annual fundraising base. The ideal candidate will have extensive fundraising experience and proven skills in relationship management and team leadership. The position offers a salary range of £55,000 - £62,000 and is full-time permanent.

Harris Hill are delighted to be partnering with the fantastic national Children's Charity who change young people's lives through cricket, giving them the opportunity to play, learn and develop through the sport. They are searching for a Head of Fundraising to play a key part in leading the Fundraising team to success.

This is an exciting time to be joining the Fundraising team as their programmes are well established with excellent support from key stakeholders, especially ECB and Sport England.

As Head of Fundraising, you will lead and manage the Fundraising team to achieve ambitious targets with specific line management responsibilities for four team members in the areas of Corporate partnerships, Individual Giving, Trusts & Foundations and Events. You will develop and ambitiously build upon an annual income base of around £2.5m in private fundraising across all areas within the Fundraising team. You will pro‑actively source and secure new opportunities across all areas of Fundraising and support the CEO and Directory of Strategy & Fundraising to establish high‑level partnerships, deputising where required. You will also identify and engage with other charity partners and organisations to find opportunities of mutual benefit to their income and programmes.

To be considered for this role, you will need :
  • Significant experience of fundraising from Major Donors and Corporates or Trusts, with a track record of growing income
  • Successful long‑term relationship building skills, putting supporter / stakeholder experience front and centre
  • Robust experience of implementing successful strategic fundraising plans to grow income
  • Experience of identifying and delivering successful new commercial / sponsorship partnerships
  • Experienced line manager, with the ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals
