You will work with a wide range of projects which include The National Trust, The Vatican and The Royal Household, to name but a few.

We are looking for extensive experience within the joinery or cabinetmaking sector, ideally supported by exposure to an automotive-grade spraying environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team which also includes an Apprentice.
  • Operate a range of spraying equipment, including pump systems, gravity guns, gun wash and sanders.
  • Prepare substrates and apply high-quality top-coat finishes using spray guns; carry out spot priming, colour fading and small remedial brushwork.
  • Deliver top-coat finishes across a full sheen range (3%–90%) in clear and coloured systems.
  • Spray a variety of products including lacquers, Polyester, PU, AC, Pre-cat and water-based coatings.
  • Mix, match and apply stains and tints with strong technical accuracy.
  • Produce high-gloss polished finishes, including abrasive preparation, buffing and polishing using cutting pastes and mops.
  • Carry out hand-finishing techniques including waxing, oiling, traditional polishing and restoration work.
  • Complete on-site snagging and remedial finishing at project handover.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping, stock control and production control within the paint shop.
  • Ensure a safe, clean and well-organised work environment at all times.
  • Take ownership of quality control and uphold high personal standards of workmanship and presentation.
About You
  • Significant experience in paint and lacquer spraying.
  • Previous supervisory experience would be highly preferable.
  • Strong background in joinery/cabinetmaking finishing.
  • Highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
