Interim Head of Finance Operations – 9 months – Day rate/FTC (happily to consider both options) – London/Hybrid (2/3 days off office based)

Are you a finance transformation leader with a passion for building high-performing teams and modernising core finance processes? We’re supporting a large leading insurance organisation in hiring an Interim Head of Operations Finance to play a pivotal role in a major finance transformation programme.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and establishment of an Operations Finance function
  • Drive best-practice process improvements across transactional finance, reconciliations and trial balance reporting
  • Build capability across people, systems, and processes
  • Partner closely with Finance, IT, Data, Actuarial and Underwriting teams to drive efficiency and embed change
  • Lead and deliver key finance projects supporting transformation activity
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience designing and executing best-practice roadmaps for Operations Finance
  • Strong transformation background within complex organisations
  • Ability to assess and optimise processes and operating models
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Qualified accountant (or equivalent experience)
  • Familiarity with Solvency UK reporting and strong systems understanding
