Head of Finance Business Partnering who is able to provide financial support including insight, risk identification, risk mitigation, and business solutions to drive high performance is required for a well-established organisation based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

SALARY: £50,718 - £53,387 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Hybrid Working with your time split between working from home and the office in Leeds, West Yorkshire

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Head of Finance Business Partnering who is able to provide financial support including insight, risk identification, risk mitigation, and business solutions to drive high performance.

Working as the Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will provide strategic financial partnership to the Director of Contract Relationship Management to support, challenge, and influence performance against all contract deliverables.

Reporting to the CFO / Chief Financial Officer, you will ensure the accurate accounting of all contracts and provide robust financial forecasts to support the organisation's wider financial performance through developing a team of Financial Contract Delivery Partners.

DUTIES

Your duties will include:

• Innovative Problem Solving: Foster a culture of results-focused insights, idea generation, innovative and creative problem solving, and calculated risk-taking by guiding the team to deliver strategic and commercial support across all contracts.

• Partnering: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their commitment to results through financial insight and embedding the Finance Business Partner (FBP) model in decision-making.

• Insightful Contractual Performance: Lead financial contract performance reporting, providing insight, support, influence, and challenge to drive performance and remedial actions, including insights into the organisation’s MIS and learning delivery.

• Leadership: Lead, develop, and role model both strategically and operationally, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

• Collaboration: Work with the CFO during financial forecasting and strategic planning to incorporate contractual performance, risk, and growth opportunities.

• Financial Literacy: Enhance financial literacy across the organisation, supporting strategies for efficiency, cost consciousness, and resource optimisation.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent experience)

• Proven experience leading a finance business partnering team, partnering with senior leaders

• Ability to interpret complex legislation, policies, or strategies to identify financial implications and provide insightful advice

• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving business performance and demonstrating value addition through finance

• Experience advising, challenging, and negotiating with senior leaders and budget holders confidently

• Effective communication and influencing skills to negotiate, collaborate, or effect change

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Experience with finance modelling
