A public sector organisation is seeking a Head of Finance to manage financial reporting and compliance. Ideal candidates will be qualified accountants with strong leadership skills. The role offers a salary of £58,000 - £62,000 and a hybrid working model with opportunities for progression in the civil service.
This leading Arm's Length Body (ALB) is currently looking to recruit a Head of Finance with excellent technical financial accounting and strong Leadership experience, to take operational responsibility of the Finance, Planning and Governance department. The organisation is based around the country at various locations where the role can be situated, including Aberdeen.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, Planning and Governance, the Head of Finance responsibilities will include:
The successful Head of Finance will be a task focused Qualified Accountant with strong technical finance skills who has produced statutory accounts.
Strong leadership skills are essential for this role as you will be managing a diverse finance and procurement team of five directs and a number of indirect reports.
Previous Civil Service experience in a similar is preferred, but not essential.
A great opportunity for someone who may want to make a move into a Grade 6 or above position in a couple of years time.
A salary of c.£58,000 - £62,000 for this Grade 7 Head of Finance role and the opportunity to join the civil service pension scheme.
This role can be based at one of a number of locations across England, Scotland and Wales. The organisation operates a hybrid working model where you will be expected to attend your allocated office a couple of times a month and at face to face meetings as required.
